My name is Mio Kamstra-Brown and I’m a multi-media artist born and raised here in Santa Cruz. When I was 8 years old my uncle taught me to draw fire flames, and that art lesson kicked off my desire to learn more. Over the past 20+ years I’ve found success in tattooing, drawing, screen printing, graphic design, film/video, photography, painting, and woodworking. You can also find my designs on products and packaging for the cannabis industry including local brands Crème De Canna and Caring Kind. Recently I’ve ventured into the world of 3D printing and find excitement in the possibilities it has to offer.
An obsession with the mysteries of the universe has inspired a lot of my original work with sacred geometry, aliens, and psychedelic references. As a trans man, my digital art and merchandise often reflects my support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
